For the first time in Kurdistan, a private company has started recording 100 books by different Kurdish authors in audio format with high quality

These days, I saw a report on an Arab television station about the tradition of listening to audiobooks, which is now common in European countries, for example in the subways and public places.

Instead of carrying a pocket book or a tabloid newspaper, most people wear headphones and listen to their books, which means that instead of reading them with their eyes, the books are being read aloud and the users listen and enjoy them.

For the first time in Kurdistan, a private company has started recording 100 books by different Kurdish authors in high quality.

What was the basis of this column is the existence of an audio book reading project in Kurdistan, which is really delightful and commendable that a private company called (Agora Vision), has started to record more than 100 books of different Kurdish authors with high audio quality.

What's more exciting is these books are posted on a professional website and each are sold for a small price, which means that the reader can pay with an e-card and he will get the book, most of which cost between $ 3 to $ 5, which is very low. In addition, the readers use good techniques and make the listener listen to the book with enthusiasm.

This important tradition and work of the friends at Agora Vision is worthy of support by the official institutions, especially in the province of Sulaimani, like  the Ministry of Culture and even international organizations. Because as far as I know, the project aims to encourage reading, and a small part of it is for material gain.

Therefore, I hope that this important project will be addressed and we writers and journalists will support the project, provided that Agora chooses good and respectable books that have a positive impact on the reader, not just for sale.

Most of them are excellent books, which is a good start for such an important project.
