If there is no tension between ideas, then none of them are familiar with the messages and ideas they carry

When you look at society, you can classify it in many ways and on many different grounds. If your classification is based on education, culture and knowledge, we can see several classes and groups completely connected at one point. Unlike the way the opinions have been influenced by the articles they have read and the manifestation of their influence in their personal lives and in the public context, you will find them on a completely similar and interconnected platform. Of course, all the different fields and ideas that each of the readers under the umbrella of "reading and books" have chosen and taken that direction.

In view of the importance of this issue and its impact, Agora Deng has worked on dozens of different books in terms of different ideas, beliefs and genres that stem from its own principles and aims to expand different views and horizons in society Bringing together all the different opinions and creating a conscious individual who is able to discuss issues and problems on the basis of logic and reason and finally be able to create differences and progress in the large space of society.

How does the reader find the best books? Should the reader choose only books that are in line with his or her opinion or vice versa?

However, to what extent does a reading society experience tensions and clashes between individuals and different ideologies, or vice versa?

How much of an individual's life should reading occupy?

We must keep in mind that reading is the cause, not the goal. That is, life is all that it contains. When we devote part of that life to it, it is because it becomes a guide for other parts. Perhaps with modern understanding, we can get very good guidance for our lives without reading, for example through YouTube videos, or audio programs, and many other reasons We can get the information we need in other ways, but what information do we learn every day that we never forget?

It has been proven by many scientific and practical evidences that only the information we have received through books and reading is valid, because in reading we do not give all the task of understanding to the eyes and ears.

A small example, have you seen any movie that was a novel itself and read the novel before? Did the film ever give you the pleasure of the novel?

Of course, if you give it the same pleasure, you will forget it after a while, because in reading, you have worked your brain and created all the scenes and characters. No director has come to do this for you.

The bottom line is that because life is constantly renewed, we must constantly learn more. In my opinion, reading is the best way, along with all other ways, so it should be an essential part of everyone's life.

How does the reader find the best books?

Everything best is relative. Even the theory that has been turned into a book and won the Nobel Prize may become useless with a new discovery, and because the number of people on Earth, there are different interests, so for each of the eight billion people in the world The best book. However, the reader must create a category and a roadmap for himself.

Basic knowledge at different levels:

1. Philosophy, thought and religion.

2. Literature, poetry, novels and stories.

3. Science, mathematics, physics, biology…

4. History.

5. Psychology, sociology...

Thus, he should read the basic books on each of them. In the second step, he finds out which ones his interests are most compatible with, and tries to read more about them. After a few years, he became accustomed to the field.

In my opinion, beginner readers should read in many fields, but after getting used to reading, they should find their own path and know what they are doing. For example, I enjoy reading literature, along with books on philosophy and religion, unless a book is very necessary, otherwise I don't go back to sociology, or biology and history, for example.

Should the reader choose only books that are in line with his or her opinion, or vice versa?

In the previous question, I gave this answer to some extent. I think, not the beginner reader, but the experienced reader should read more areas that suit his interests, which is not itself

It directly teaches us to talk only about the topics we have read most about and not to rush into everything. However, I would like to emphasize that young people and those in their early years should read all kinds of books and not be influenced by any expert, because we are the only psychologists.

Does a reading society involve or reduce tensions and contact between individuals and different ideologies?

The fact that there is tension and confrontation between different ideologies is very healthy. On the contrary, if there is no tension between ideas, then none of them are familiar with the messages and ideas they carry. What should not happen is to delete the other person just because he thinks differently and does not think yours is more correct. When we work for mutual acceptance, we should not talk about erasing our differences. I don't have to admit your beliefs, but I have to believe that you are as free to choose your beliefs as I am. The latter teaches us that each of us must provide evidence for the values we believe in, but never be willing to erase the other for the sake of our values, when every value is doubtful and may not be true . . . .

Because of the importance of reading culture, Agora Voice, a different project, takes important steps to raise the level of knowledge of society and develop a culture of reading.
